One of my closest friends is Hannah. If you know her you know why! ;) She’s one of the most sweet, selfless girls I know! We’ve been through a lot together and I think some of thoses “hard” times are what’s made our friendship so close. :) I’m so thankful to God for giving me such a wonderful big sister!
I love you sis! ;D

… as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

For my birthday a few weeks ago a family (the Brittons) gave me a very generous gift, they paid for a morning horse ride along the beach! … And on an island that’s not too cheap! I’ve always loved horses and I was the only one in our group so I had a blast! ;) He said to just let him know if I wanted to go faster, hehe so we ended up passing all the groups that had started before us! We’d have to slow down when we got close to them and then he would kindly ask if we could pass them. ;D It was SO much fun! We also slowed down once for Daddy to take some pics. :) This had to be one of the best Thanksgivin’ mornings ever!

Hey y’all! So sorry for not getting on here in such a long time! ;P  I’m gonna try to do better. ;)  Thanks to mom for letting me use her camera. Here are some pictures of Ashantea! ;D  She’s my little buddy! We spend a lot of time together – baking, reading books, playing hide and seek haha – the list goes on and on. ;D She’s one of my joys. One of our latest adventures was attempting  to make a doll for her, which you can see in some of the pics, then playing in the puddles after all the rain we’ve had, getting in trouble for it by a sweet lady who told us we would both come down with ring worm(!) :/ and playing  helper/baby. I’m the baby and I get put to bed three times a night with water to drink, ice to eat, &  my hair brushed each time! ;D     She’s definitely lots of fun!

Earlier this evening Hannah wasn’t feeling well and Daddy went in to see if she wanted anything, he came back a little later to check again and when he left Hannah sat up and said “I think I could write a poem about Daddy right now!” So with paper and pencil for the next few minutes she busily scribbled out this little poem… =)

My Daddy’s Gentleness

I wish that all the world could hear,

The song my heart is singing.

About my gentle Daddy,

To whom my heart is clinging.

I wish that every girl could have,

A Daddy like my own.

To get a glimpse of true manhood,

That is in these modern days unknown.

My Daddy’s hand can be so gentle,

When he lays it on my head,

His loving lips are a storehouse of blessing.

…my heart replays things he has said…

His tender eyes shine out with love,

I could look into them forever.

He can make up a poem in the blink of an eye.

His wit is an endless treasure!

He’s the man of my dreams, King of my heart,

And Hollywood’s men can’t compare.

There is none so gentle and good,

Unselfishly loving and true,

As the man I get to call “Daddy”.

At the sight of his face, my heart sings “I love you!”

A few months ago one of my sisters sent me a necklace that immediately became my favorite! ;D I loved the beads on it and treasured it, thinking of my sister that was so far away. But sadly one day while we where at church my treasured necklace got broken. :’( I was so sad. I wrapped it up and put it in my closet thinking about what all could be done with the pretty beads.

Well,  today Hannah and I were talking and she gave me an idea for my beads!

She said it would be pretty if I put them all on one string and used a black ribbon to tie it off!  Away I went in search of a black ribbon and here’s the equipment I was able to gather!  ;D

Haha! No black ribbons were anywhere to be found, but remembering some of the tricks of my older sisters I decided that I would simply have to invent my own black ribbon somehow! ;) I dug around a little more in Mom’s sewing drawer and stumbled across a pile of orange ribbons from Michael and Bekah’s wedding!  So arming myself with three black sharpies I soon had the necklace you see below hanging delightfully around my neck!! :D

While Grandpa and Grandma where here we took a walk down to the beach  and it was lots of fun! =D

These are kind of  old but I really need to get caught up on here! ;D

While we were taking pictures Tim threw the football in the water, Daniel had to dive in to catch it and got wet.  He was chasing Tim doen with the football! ;P

Heading home…

Every time I see flowers, makes me think of a very special lady in my life.  My Nanny!  =) I love you Nanny! Thank you for showing me what a Godly lady really is! You inspire me.

Daddy took all of us to the golf course so Grandpa and Grandma could meet a really nice lady from our church. =) She works at a restaurant on the golf course.  There are  iguanas everywhere !

I’ve  got a very beautiful Mom! ;) She let me practice on her a little,  it was fun!
